We hope this additional information will answer most of your questions.

What are the sleeping accommodations in the bedrooms? – Casa Oceano can sleep up to 12 adults comfortably; more if there are small children.  There are 6 bedrooms and 8 beds.  Three of the bedrooms have Jacuzzi’s – the Main Master, the Guest Masterr and the Center East bedrooms.  Five of the bedrooms are oceanfront.

 

 

Is smoking allowed? –  Please confine smoking to the outside open areas and do not smoke in a closed bedroom.

Children welcome? –  Of course!  Casa Oceano is the perfect vacation for a family with children.

 How do we get there? –  The easiest way is to take a local flight from the San Jose International Airport which takes about 18 minutes. We will pick you up at the Tambor airport. Total drive time from San Jose by taking the ferry is about 4 hours, including the 1 hour on the ferry.

Do you have an all-inclusive meal plan? – Yes, we can purchase your groceries for the week and supply you with our own private chef.   Casa Oceano has a gourmet kitchen with a commercial gas range and oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher and quality cookware.

Can we use the resort facilities? –  Most resort facilities, such as the breakfast and dinner restaurant, the beachfront lunch restaurant and bar, spa, tennis courts and golf course are available at normal resort fees. Reservations are required.  Please do not use the hotel pools, as they are for hotels guests only.

Is there local transportation?  – Yes, there are local taxis. If you take tours, transportation is often included in the tour rate. We can also arrange a comfortable air conditioned van and driver at a fixed cost, available at any time, or have a rental car delivered to the villa.

About Us:  Casa Oceano has a permanent staff of four, which are present to care for the villa at all times, as being right on the water, maintenance is paramount.  We had an architect stay there and he said he could not determine the age of the house because it was kept up so well! 

The staff of four includes an English / Spanish speaking concierge, Hansel, which is available at all times, but comes by several times a day to make sure the guests are happy.  Hansel acts as a translator, shows tours for guests’ consideration, and will stay there during daylight and evening hours, how much or how little hours with which the guests feel comfortable.  

Service is 7 days a week from the staff when guests are there.  The maid will also will do personal laundry.  The grounds man, Henry, takes care of the pool, gardens and is there to move lounge chairs to the beach, etc..  Our chef, Silvia, has been with us for 10 years and has the highest reviews in TripAdvisor!
