Surfing in front of Casa Oceano
If you would like to try your hand at surfing, or if you're an experienced surfer, you'll find the waves in front of Casa Oceano vary from mild to challenging, depending on the time of year and the tides. Since the Tango Mar 1 kilometer long beach is bordered on each side by rocks and / or cliffs, there is no foot traffic from adjoining beaches, and consequently, no other surfers. You'll have the waves all to yourself!
The photos below were taken by different guests of surfers at a rocky point break just to the right of the villa. It offers about a 20 second, right cut ride that dumps out on the sandy beach in front of the villa.
As with any beach, wave conditions can vary widely, depending on the tide, storm swells, bottom conditions, etc.. If you want waves a little more challenging, then nearby Mal Pais / Santa Teresa beaches are known for their larger and more consistent surf.
