Is smoking allowed? – Please confine smoking to the outside open areas and do not smoke in a closed bedroom.
Children welcome? – Of course! Casa Oceano and Villa Amor del Mar are the perfect vacation villas for a family with children.
How do we get to the villas? – The easiest way is to take a local flight from the San Jose International Airport or the international airport in Liberia. The picturous flight over the Gulf of Nicoya takes about 18 minutes. We will pick you up at the Tambor airport or the Cobano airport.
Total drive time from San Jose by taking the ferry is about 4.5 hours, including the 1 hour on the ferry. Total drive time from Liberia would be about the same, but you would not have to take a ferry.
Do we have an all-inclusive meal plan? – Yes, we can do all the shopping, cooking and cleanup with our private chef and helper. Both villas have gourmet kitchens.
Can we use the resort facilities? – Most resort facilities, such as the restaurants and bar, tennis courts and golf courses are available at normal resort fees. Reservations are required.
Is there local transportation? – Yes, there are local taxis. If you take tours, transportation is often included in the tour rate. We can also arrange a comfortable air conditioned van and driver at a fixed cost, available at any time, or have a rental car delivered to the villa.
The staff of four includes an English / Spanish speaking concierge, Hansel, which is available at all times, but comes by several times a day to make sure the guests are happy. Hansel acts as a translator, shows tours for guests’ consideration, and will stay there during daylight and evening hours, how much or how little hours with which the guests feel comfortable.
Service is 7 days a week from the staff when guests are there. The maid will also will do personal laundry. The grounds man, Henry, takes care of the pool, gardens and is there to move lounge chairs to the beach, etc.. If the meal plan is taken, or chefs, Silvia, and Helen, have been with us for 15 years and have the highest reviews in TripAdvisor!
